Let me break this down clearly. I compared Amazon and Etsy before deciding. I asked my jeweler the same thing. He said it is safe for daily wear as long as you avoid harsh chemicals.
I would say yes, especially if you are on a budget. I have had zero problems so far.

Recommendation
If you are on the fence, go with the middle option. The plated stuff looks fine for a month then turns skin green. The natural stone is beautiful but the markup is brutal.

I went through this exact decision last year. My ring came from Blue Nile with a full certificate. This is totally normal. Mine did the same thing for the first month then settled.
Short answer: no. I switched after a few months and never looked back. The upkeep was not worth it.
