Quick summary first, then details:

My Setup

I wear mine every day, including to the gym and to sleep. After a year and a half it still looks brand new.

What to Watch Out For

  • Buy from a reputable seller, not a random listing
  • Ask about the color grade before you order
  • Get a certificate of authenticity

My only regret is not sizing up slightly. It fits snug now that winter is coming.

Based on my experience:

Price Breakdown

OptionTypical Cost
Lab created$3,000
Natural stone5-10x more
Plated alternative$20-$50 but will tarnish

Recommendation

If you are on the fence, go with the middle option. The plated stuff looks fine for a month then turns skin green. The natural stone is beautiful but the markup is brutal.

Based on my experience: I asked my jeweler the same thing. He said it is safe for daily wear as long as you avoid harsh chemicals.

Here is what I have found after researching for weeks. I bought mine from Etsy for about $500. Short answer: no. I switched after a few months and never looked back. The upkeep was not worth it.

It depends on your skin and how often you wear it. Mine is fine, but a friend had issues within weeks.
