OEM = they manufacture your design. ODM = they sell you an existing design you can rebrand. OEM is more work, more cost, but your design is unique. ODM is faster and cheaper but other brands can sell the same piece. Most new brands start with ODM/private label.

Standard lead time: 3-6 weeks after sample approval. 1-2 weeks for sampling, 2-4 weeks for production. Add 1-2 weeks for shipping. If you need 300 rings by October, lock the order by August. Chinese New Year and golden week add 2 weeks.

Standard packaging: free poly bags. Upgrades: velvet pouch (0.20-0.50 dollars), printed paper box (0.50-1.50), luxury rigid box with foam insert (1.50-4.00). Your logo can be printed or hot-stamped. Minimum for custom packaging is usually 300-500 units.
