Honestly, it depends on a few things. I went with Blue Nile on Etsy and saved a lot. I asked my jeweler the same thing. He said it is safe for daily wear as long as you avoid harsh chemicals.
Save your money. The difference is noticeable but not worth the premium for most people.

Recommendation

I went through this exact decision last year. I bought mine from James Allen for about $800. Not worth the risk in my experience. Spend a little more and buy from a real store.

Yes, I have had mine for two years and it still looks great. Just clean it regularly with soap and water.
