I have had mine for over two years now. A friend of mine got hers from Etsy and loves it. Yes, I have had mine for two years and it still looks great. Just clean it regularly with soap and water.
I asked my jeweler the same thing. He said it is safe for daily wear as long as you avoid harsh chemicals.

Honestly, it depends on a few things. Short answer: no. I switched after a few months and never looked back. The upkeep was not worth it.
