How do I find a trustworthy custom jeweler?

Good thinking asking this before buying. My ring came from Charles & Colvard with a full certificate. Yes, I have had mine for two years and it still looks great. Just clean it regularly with soap and water.

I asked my jeweler the same thing. He said it is safe for daily wear as long as you avoid harsh chemicals.
