Does moissanite hold its value over time?

On testers: most standard diamond testers read moissanite as diamond. This is a known issue because both have high thermal conductivity. Testers marketed as 'moissanite detectors' exist but most jewelers do not carry them. A trained eye with a loupe can spot double refraction.

We bought a Forever One moissanite from Brilliant Earth for about 650 dollars and it looks incredible. People assume it cost several thousand. I would buy it again tomorrow.

I have a 2ct Forever One and I absolutely wear it every day. Gym, gardening, cooking, all of it. The stone has never chipped. Just take it off for heavy lifting so you do not bend the prongs.
