Good thinking asking this before buying. Not worth the risk in my experience. Spend a little more and buy from a real store.

After trying several options myself, My jeweler recommended Pandora. It depends on your skin and how often you wear it. Mine is fine, but a friend had issues within weeks.
I would say yes, especially if you are on a budget. I have had zero problems so far.
I will give you the straight answer.
What My Jeweler Said
My bench jeweler told me the main thing people regret is skimping on the setting. The stone itself is fine, but a weak prong will let it fall out. Spend a bit more on a solid setting.
Bottom Line
Yes, it is worth it for most people. Just buy from a known seller and inspect the prongs every six months.
Here is what I have found after researching for weeks. I bought mine from Amazon for about $100. It depends on your skin and how often you wear it. Mine is fine, but a friend had issues within weeks.
Short answer: no. I switched after a few months and never looked back. The upkeep was not worth it.
Based on my experience:
Price Breakdown
| Option | Typical Cost |
| Lab created | $1,500 |
| Natural stone | 5-10x more |
| Plated alternative | $20-$50 but will tarnish |
Recommendation
If you are on the fence, go with the middle option. The plated stuff looks fine for a month then turns skin green. The natural stone is beautiful but the markup is brutal.
