I will give you the straight answer. I compared James Allen and Tiffany before deciding. Not worth the risk in my experience. Spend a little more and buy from a real store.
I asked my jeweler the same thing. He said it is safe for daily wear as long as you avoid harsh chemicals.

My bench jeweler told me the main thing people regret is skimping on the setting. The stone itself is fine, but a weak prong will let it fall out. Spend a bit more on a solid setting.
