I will give you the straight answer. I bought mine from James Allen for about $5,000. I asked my jeweler the same thing. He said it is safe for daily wear as long as you avoid harsh chemicals.
Yes, I have had mine for two years and it still looks great. Just clean it regularly with soap and water.
